General Guidelines and Expectations Regarding the Items You Bring to the Party
This is our opportunity as a plant community to represent the best of the best. Our customers expect each vendor to "Bring their A-Game" to this event. We want each person who enters the Rare Plant Party to leave feeling excited about houseplants and wanting more!
Do's & Don'ts
Please carefully read through the following to understand what kinds of plants, pots and plant-related merchandise are preferred at the Rare Plant Party.
Rare / Unique
Front Range Gardens will be offering some plants in their store booth that are more common and meant for the beginners or those otherwise new to the plant community. The vendors selling to the rare plant community should plan on bringing plants that are more unique, rare or uncommon. Plants that people want to collect.
Hand-Made Pottery
All pottery must be hand made or at least something you've purchased, took back to your studio and enhanced/upcycled to re-sell with a new look. Store bought pots from a mass supplier are not what our customers want to see at this event.
Family Friendly
No graphic pots, t-shirts, stickers or other inappropriate items should be sold at this Party.
No plant material that is intended for a spiritual or otherwise psychoactive use is permitted at the Party. This includes Cannabis, Lophophora, mushrooms, etc.
Ethically Derived
Please do not bring any plant material that was field-dug or wild-collected. We want to support sustainable plant sourcing within the native plant movement. This is our opportunity to educate the customers on what that means and why it's important.
Plant Requirements
Please don't bring flipped tissue culture plants in baggies, unless selling full kits.
Ensure your plants are clean and pest-free.
Plants should be well rooted or shown as bare-root (eg - fresh import).
All plants must be able to be taken out by the customer without use of a dolly. Customers can bring in their own carts/wagons, but please don't sell plants that are just too big to get out safely. If you want to bring these plants and then arrange for pickup or delivery with the customer after the show, that is ok.
Please make sure your plants are not dripping water all over the floor. If you need to water them during the event, they need to be in leak-proof liners.
Booth Staffing
Your booth must be staffed during the entirety of the Party. Breaks excluded, of course! If you need help with coverage for short bits of time, please reach out to any of the staff or volunteers.
Non Plant-Themed Items
All non plant-themed items will need to be approved by the venue (since we will be sharing space with the Colorado Fall Home Show) so as not to compete with vendors they've already signed up.
Have Fun
This is a PARTY, afterall! We want all the attendees to leave our area smiling from ear-to-ear... plants & pots in hand, of course!
